Physics is fundamental science, esp. theoretical physics.
So I think it is important for the technology, and to our life, if p
eople could advance much in the research.
But the problem is in China, too much students study physics before and now.
It doesn't need such amount students to do it. Any also
I guess many of them have no interest in the physics.
Personally I think Chaos knowledge, as a math tool, still have extensive
applications for the future research work in Enineering area,
such as Mech. Engr..

: We cover the Chaos in Mechanics class for just two or three classes. Very

: it from math department. When I read his book, I feel surprised in that
: actually the instructor crams almost the whole book into three classes.
: Sign!Anyway Chaos is dying now. Actually Physics is dead now also.

: : Yeah. I agree.
: : Chaos? Once I showed interests in that like fasion.
: : Took the Nonlinear Dynamics class. Almost forget all. Only remember
: : some terminology, Fen xing, Liyaponov (?) number or index....
: : hehe, almost ten years ago.. Sigh...
