most states have two house-related taxes: property tax and
school tax (by and large). Both are deductible for federal and
state tax purposes TO A POINT (you lose deductibility when your
income is too high - ~150K taxable income for '98).
also, your federal tax is exempt from state tax and vice versa.

yes, to the extent that the state in which your vehicle is register charges
property tax on automotives.
tax is a neccesary evil that unless you know what you are doing you should
be playing with. For example, unless you have a complicated structure,
and have sufficient income taxable income, do not even think about it.
if you really want all of your taxes back, just contribute all your income
to a charity. then you can get all of your taxes back 100% guarrantted, :)
